Being outside is my happy place. Whether sitting on my back porch, lying on the beach, walking, gazing at the mountains, or watching the trees sway back and forth, I love connecting with nature. If you’re searching for a simple way to boost your mood, I want to encourage you to embrace your surroundings by going outside for a mindful walk.

This is another mindfulness practice where you can focus on your senses.

👁Sight: Take a look at your surroundings. Trees, flowers, houses, road, or rocks

👃🏽Smell: Breathe in the air and flowers

👂🏽Sound: We play our favorite jams so I get to listen to tunes and his singing. We hear cars, crickets, dogs, and chat with our neighbors

👅Taste: I usually drink before and after my walk, but feel free to take a sip of your drink while you’re on your walk

🖐🏽Touch: I spend most of my time holding onto my stroller or son’s hands. Remy loves touching leaves

If you aren’t sure how to go on a mindful walk, don’t worry; I’ve got you covered. Visit my YouTube channel for a snippet of a mindful walk. Yes, YouTube is new for me; we’ll see how this goes.
