My name is Patience and like many of you I wear a lot of hats. I am a wife, mother, military spouse, mental wellness coach, and therapist. I started WHOA MAMA to create a safe place for you to embrace the good, bad, and ugly of motherhood. Motherhood can take you on a wild ride mentally, emotionally, & physically, but don’t be alarmed because you are not alone.
I am extremely passionate about destigmatizing the challenges related to maternal mental health. My hope is that WHOA MAMA will not only encourage you, but will make your life a little bit easier by offering blog posts centered around my activities as a mom, mental wellness tips, my favorite mommy & baby products, and everything else in between. Above anything else I hope WHOA MAMA can serve as a place where you can let your hair down, reset, and just be.
What to expect when expecting: mommy’s mental health
Calling all expecting mothers! When preparing for the arrival for our little ones it’s easy to get lost in the latest gadgets, clothes, natural vs medicated, or feeding methods. Where these are important, mama, so is your mental health. Whether you’re about to have your 1st or 3rd child this event is for you. Join me for a free virtual event on January 30th at 11AM EST for a free virtual event as I sit down with some women in my mom tribe for an honest conversation about What to Expect When Expecting: Mommy’s Mental Health After Baby.

Mental wellness coaching
Does your life feel unbalanced as you navigate motherhood? If you’re used to having it all together, you may find yourself in a space of confusion, self-doubt, guilt, or shame. Even as a high achieving woman, the addition of motherhood can cause you to temporarily lose control and sight of your individual needs. The truth is, many women who have a history of thriving are secretly struggling to keep it all together with the added responsibility of being a mom.
As a Mental Wellness Coach my goal is to create a supportive space for you to explore the changes to your mental health and find ways to develop harmony in every area of your life. By using the goal driven process of preparation, partnership, and prosperity we will create a space for you to reconnect with the mind, body, and spirit of who you are, so motherhood is no longer a area of your life you are trying to survive but a space that enhances your life.
In addition to offering support to women currently navigating motherhood, I offer a reoccurring group for pregnant women. Whether this is your 1st, 3rd, or 5th pregnancy this group was created with you in mind. This group was designed to educate, normalize, and validate the complex feelings and changes that occur to a woman’s mental health after having a baby within a safe and supportive environment.
If you want to learn more about how coaching can assist you, please schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation and review the Coaching tab.
